Flood Memories
Flood-fresh wounds,
Bleed rich, the careless rain's disregard
of our delicatenesses.
It is funny how on any given day the same things can be perceived differently. Or maybe even the way you say something communicates something other than you intended. Life is pretty simple; if you are willing to view it that way...in full pursuit of making the best of whatever it gives you.

Friday Floodaku
It's been raining all week here in the music city. In fact, its been raining very hard. The beating drops drum up memories barely dimmed by the few days of sunshine and months of recovery that still continue to this day. Finally the sun came out today; but it is evident that the rain has already wrecked havoc on a city still reeling from earlier devastation. This Friday is dedicated to a flood haiku.

Nashville showed itself to be a very classy city after that flood. Could have been a lot worse than it was. I wonder if that's why people in general don't remember it as they do other things.
