The Joy of Many Ketchups

This is one of those blogs that really will deserve some thought. I heard a sermon this Sunday from an evangelist from Russia who was visiting our church. He was tremendously entertaining and insightful. Though he said many noteable statements; one that stuck out was his story about bringing a friend to America. The two were walking through the isles of a supermarket and his friend remarked; "OMG, there are 29 types of ketchup here; no wonder American pastors are so picky when they go to restaurants."

Hey, maybe we don't have everything right, eat too much, care too little and export some things not so healthy; but we are VERY blessed to be American and we've got it good. Appreciation always appears brighter in the eyes and lips of those seeing bountiful for the first time. I dont know that anyone will ever live in a perfect country; but one thing is for sure; if we are not more thankful for what we have and for each other; there will come a time of MUCH LESS.

Otherwise: it is a beautiful, warm day in downtown Nashville as the sun winks in the glass of the Batman Building. I continue to dare dream of the Fantastic Yet-To-Comes. Another great weekend of nothing but good love, food and friends for which I can never be thankful enough to ketchup.

hmmm....
