Stronger than being positive; HOPE!

faith and hope

It can be the smallest of things that ignites the monsterously huge power within in. Its such a small delicate thing that we ofter forget to protect despite often forgetting how responsible it is for all the things we hold so dear. Hope, much like Faith can be sprinkled into any situation and entire continents can be moved or shattered. In an instant we become as mighty as an ant.

Oh, do you doubt such bold statements? Oh, you think this is some kind of religious/Christian rant? Consider this:
• Holocaust survivors
• Mothers of missing children
• Grandmothers praying for wayward children
• Cancer survivors
• Rags to riches stories

I saw a great movie this week. Had I known that it was another Clint Eastwood produced movie, my expectations would have been much higher — so the suprise was very welcomed. Oh, what's the movie, you ask.

Angelina Jolie

the PLOT
Inspired by actual events that occurred in 1920s-era Los Angeles, Clint Eastwood's "Changeling" tells the story of a woman driven to confront a corrupted LAPD after her abducted son is retrieved and she begins to suspect that the boy returned to her is not the same boy she gave birth to. The year was 1928, and the setting a working-class suburb of Los Angeles. As Christine (Angelina Jolie) said goodbye to her son, Walter, and departed for work, she never anticipated that this was the day her life would be forever changed. Upon returning home, Christine was distressed to discover that Walter was nowhere to be found. Over the course of the following months, the desperate mother would launch a search that would ultimately prove fruitless.

That's all I'm giving ...see the movie.

This was a powerfully moving movie, as practically all Clint Eastwood directed/produced movies. He's far better behind the lens and one of the few who seems to be able to be in a movie and direct it too and still seem authentic to the character. Of course, I would also be fans of Jolie and Malkovich. This movie was riddled with stunning performances.

Never under estimate the power of hope. Never miss an opportunity to give hope. As the rain waters the earth, hope magnifies the eternal springs of our own potientals we so often forget. Hopes are often paved with smiles and even sometimes blood, sweat and tears; but joy comes in the morning.

Hope so...

I had heard this was a good movie. The premise is incredible, and if it was fiction I would have dismissed it as too unlikely to bother with. Who thinks of something like that? ‘We’ll give this kid to the mother, she’ll be fine with it.’ Hope springs eternal.
