Flackless....Flackless Fridays!!!

....and I don't mean "Roberta...."

It was a simple enuf phrase uttered by my resident pensivist. Sometimes things just have a ring to them that sticks and this is just such a thing. So our aim today is to have a "Flackless Friday". To have an end to the week that arrives without having to deal with any odd behaviors or gross moods, no dire emergencies or critical headaches. It's been a busy short week (as short weeks tend to do) and I am definitely ready for the weekend. As New Years and resolutions go, of course, the object of the game is to end up so busy that you forget about your resolutions and joy or that life just gets so insane that you "tomorrow" yourself 'til next year. I don't intend to fall prey to that trick. Everything sticks and the nose stays on the stone. Yes, I enjoy Friday. Yes, things still have to get done. Yes, I am looking forward to the end of this day. Yes, I count it all a joy...no part exists without the other....

Tonite....
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
It seems the natural thing to do
Tonight no one's gonna find us
We'll leave the world behind us
When I make love to you
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And hope that deep inside you'll feel it too
Tonight our spirits will be climbing
To a sky filled up with diamonds
When I make love to you, tonight
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And that midnight sun is gonna come shining through
Tonight there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do, is to get close to you, tonight
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And soon this old world will seem brand new
Tonight we will both discover how friends turn into lovers
When I make love to you
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And the midnight sun is gonna come shining through
Tonight there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do, is to get close to you
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
Tonight ........Roberta Flack.
